Not a bad RTS game for its time. I've graduated to Rome and Medieval Total War II. A tiny bit like AOE to start with but immerses you in the world of politics, religion and diplomacy and assassination to maintain and expand your kingdom. The battles are quite impressive and you command up to 5000 troops or seige equipment.
Be forwarned that unlike AOE, having 5000 troops against another army of 2000 won't assure you a win. Tactics and use of your troops (cavalry, archers, spearmen, armored knights on foot, etc) all have to be used to their best advantage. Remember....archers aren't really worth a damn when it rains and are easy prey to cavalry.

Which version?I like 2nd version but 1st version is boring with those chess games at starting.
