Is there such a thing as a stress related bladder infection? While I am at school, or at home, or anywhere else I feel absolutely fine and have no problems with going to the bathroom--everything is normal. However that is not the same case for when I go to work--lately I have been very stressed out at my job because I've changed positions and I have more weight on my shoulders. I always dread going to work because of the stress and the bosses there treat me like crap. (I am looking for a new job)--when I am at work I feel the need to go pee after an hour of being there, and than constantly after that. Once I do go to the bathroom, I have the usual symptoms of a bladder infection. I am worried that I have a infection--but it only seems that way when I am at work and I have no clue why.

1. it could be stress
2. I am never sitting down for 4-7 hours at a time

The most common cause of bladder infections is infection by bacteria which have spread from the rectal area into the urethra. That being said...stress can definitely affect your immune system making you more susceptible to other illnesses. Check-out to site below for some natural remedies. I suggest seeing a medical doc. as well as talking to a counselor, who would give you some suggestions to cope with your stressful job.

Can Stress Cause Bladder Infections

If you do actually have a bladder infection, you need to see a doctor. The ONLY way to cure a bladder infection is to take antibiotics prescribed by a doctor. There are no home remedies, no matter what anyone on YA tells you. Drinking more water and cranberry juice may help prevent bladder infections, but will not cure an infection you already have. Untreated, bladder infections can spread and lead to kidney damage and other serious problems.

Yes stress can cause a bladder infection to occur sometimes. When we are stressed about something it can make our immune system weaker and cause an infection to occur. I would recommend seeing your doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they think could be going on.
