Firstly congrats on your little baby boy!

You actually cant tell at an early stage as yourself and your husbands genes are the only ones which your son inherited. There are grandparents and others as well.

By the time he is 2 you can double his height, that is a good indicator of how tall he will be by about 21.

I am 4'8 and my husband is 6'5.(",)
So we will also have to see what happens!

Hope that this is helpful.

There is just no way to tell, at least as of right now (but who knows? Maybe the Human Genome Project will eventually change that. Anyway...)

Height has a high heritability, but it all depends on whose genes the child takes after the most. Pretty good chance the child ends up being between 5'2" and 6'6" though...*LOL*

I wish I took after my Dad a bit more, but not totally as I still believe men should be taller my Mom is only 4'8 and my Dad is 6'9 and here I am a measly 5'2. Then my Dad got re-married to another short woman. lol My brother there is going to be just as tall as him and my sister is once again the same height as me. But, I really do not believe there is any way to officially tell. But, maybe the male female hormones have a play in it.

No way to know for sure. It depends on which gene is dominant. And it could inherit the recessive gene. If it is born about 20 inches long, chances are the child will be tall. If the child is shorter when born, then it's possible it could be on the short side or just average. There are too many variables to know for sure.

On the kid's 2nd birthday, check his height, then double it. I'm sure it doesn't work for everyone, but it's supposed to be pretty accurate.
My sister and I were right on...I was supposed to be about 5'8"...I'm 5'7". My sister was supposed to be nearly 6'!!! My mom knew there was no way that could be true for her...she is now 5'11"!

I'm guessing taller than you. I kid because my husband is the same height as yours. Only I'm 5'6". I tell folks we're going to have a basketball team. Anywho, there are places online where you can put in your height, your hubby's height, and the kids height at different ages and it will guesstimate for you.
