I suppose part of the blame is to be put on the advertising agencies. A long time ago, they found out that sex sells. So armed with that knowledge, they used it to their full advantage. Is it right? Probably not, will it change? Probably not. The only way for it to change, is for it not to sell. Human nature being what it is, I doubt if it will happen soon. If it offends you, then don't buy the product, or leave the chat room, don't play the computer games. That will be your best defense to the degrading ways women are represented.

So You obviously have not noticed any advertisements or commercials in which Men are portrayed as being fools, clumsy buffoons or sexist sleaze bags? You really should try blaming the people who make the sexist and gender specific derogatory comments in order to sell a product. Start an awareness campaign! Get a petition going. Both males and female find this type of advertising offensive. Now is Your chance to do something about it!

you should see the things that are degrading to MEN.
personally I dont like big boobs. I like beautiful eyes and a personality but i also like a little belly, mid shift. So a beautiful body is a sexual attraction. if it were not so, there would be no incentive to be fruitful and multiply.
i once fell in love with a girl freind just because I saw Her eyes glitter. sparkle.

I completely agree. I find it offense in a way. My boyfriend and I got together when he was just 14, and all he really knew was porn and stuff...I use to get really mad at him because he use to say things like, well that isn't how she looked or acted...etc. I had to explain to him that this stuff is "made up" to look better than it really is. Girls don't always wear high heels while having sex....etc

Unfortunately sex sells and sexy women also sells. So a large part of it is a money making enterprise. If you object to it, just ignore it. It would be difficult for you to taken on the entire industry or economy which promotes those things.

these artists wouldn't be making this kind of music if the public at large were not asking for it by buying their CD's or buying tickets, downloading music etc.....
don't blame the artists blame the majority of people who like this stuff.
vocal artist don't have that much freedom especially if they are out to make money. they can't write the kind of music they want if they know that the listeners will say NO and refuse to buy their music.
hope this was helpful

Gross & insulting isn't it - but the reality is that everything is about making money unfortunately sex sells. It's up to all women to hold the line to raise standards. Sometimes I think women are there own worst enemies.
