Lot's of activities are the key to a fun birthday party.

A piniatta is always fun. If it's warm enough where you live, waterbaloons. You can get involved and play makeover, helping the girls give each other manicures and learn how to apply make-up. For that you could even contact a Mary Kay lady (their colors are much more flattering than AVON which also offers samples) and see if you can get her to come help the girls and give the color samples of what looks good on them.

#1 should be what your daughter wants, it's her birthday.

Hannah Montana is the in thing right now. If they are all girls, I would suggest a sleepover. I would also suggest movies, video games like guitar hero, and/or karaoke with the latest tunes. Make sure to have pizza, popcorn and an ice cream sundae bar.
It all depends on what time of day the party is. If it is a day party, maybe it could be a bowling or roller skating party. If it is in the evening, and if there are boys coming-which I wouldn't necessarily suggest, but a dance party would be fun. Make sure you have their favorite Cd's on hand.
For the best ideas, ask your daughter and parents of her friends.
Good luck!

Every young lady these days has a fave celeb. My 10 year old wants a "Diva Dance Party". Keeps options open for kareoke and dance and maybe even make-up or a fashion parade. At this age life is all about 'ME'!!!! So 20 friends over should make her happy enough. Don't know about you though...LOL.. good luck...

Ask her what she likes and start negotiating from there. Naturally, this should not be a make out party, keep your bedroom doors locked, keep an eye on the kids to make sure there is no alcohol, no freaking, and let her choose the music, cake, and theme according to budget.

Ask her what she wants!

Watch a movie? Play party games? Kareoke? Crafts... make things? Have makeovers? Treasure hunt?

Regarding food, I'd suggest pizza, sausage rolls, crisps, buscuits...

A few of her best friends could stay over and have a midnight feast! Have fun!

the popular craze right now is hannah montana, so you might want to do a themed party like that if she likes it. you can do a karaoke of the songs, or something along the lines of hannah montana.

Do whatever she's into and let her have a part in planning it. Like if she likes rollar skating/blading, have it at a rollar skating rink. (Ice skating rinks are fun too!)

If you're having it in your home, you could play games like "Apples to Apples" or Imaginarium.
