Where is the love
by Black Eyed Peas
BLACK EYED PEAS LYRICS
"Where Is The Love?"
What's wrong with the world, mama
People livin' like they ain't got no mamas
I think the whole world addicted to the drama
Only attracted to things that'll bring you trauma
Overseas, yeah, we try to stop terrorism
But we still got terrorists here livin'
In the USA, the big CIA
The Bloods and The Crips and the KKK
But if you only have love for your own race
Then you only leave space to discriminate
And to discriminate only generates hate
And when you hate then you're bound to get irate, yeah
Madness is what you demonstrate
And that's exactly how anger works and operates
Man, you gotta have love just to set it straight
Take control of your mind and meditate
Let your soul gravitate to the love, y'all, y'all
People killin', people dyin'
Children hurt and you hear them cryin'
Can you practice what you preach
And would you turn the other cheek
Father, Father, Father help us
Send some guidance from above
'Cause people got me, got me questionin'
Where is the love (Love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love
The love, the love
It just ain't the same, always unchanged
New days are strange, is the world insane
If love and peace is so strong
Why are there pieces of love that don't belong
Nations droppin' bombs
Chemical gasses fillin' lungs of little ones
With ongoin' sufferin' as the youth die young
So ask yourself is the lovin' really gone
So I could ask myself really what is goin' wrong
In this world that we livin' in people keep on givin'
in
Makin' wrong decisions, only visions of them dividends
Not respectin' each other, deny thy brother
A war is goin' on but the reason's undercover
The truth is kept secret, it's swept under the rug
If you never know truth then you never know love
Where's the love, y'all, come on (I don't know)
Where's the truth, y'all, come on (I don't know)
Where's the love, y'all
People killin', people dyin'
Children hurt and you hear them cryin'
Can you practice what you preach
And would you turn the other cheek
Father, Father, Father help us
Send some guidance from above
'Cause people got me, got me questionin'
Where is the love (Love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love (The love)
Where is the love, the love, the love?
I feel the weight of the world on my shoulder
As I'm gettin' older, y'all, people gets colder
Most of us only care about money makin'
Selfishness got us followin' our wrong direction
Wrong information always shown by the media
Negative images is the main criteria
Infecting the young minds faster than bacteria
Kids wanna act like what they see in the cinema
Yo', whatever happened to the values of humanity
Whatever happened to the fairness in equality
Instead of spreading love we're spreading animosity
Lack of understanding, leading lives away from unity
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin' under
That's the reason why sometimes I'm feelin' down
There's no wonder why sometimes I'm feelin' under
Gotta keep my faith alive till love is found
Now ask yourself
Where is the love?
Where is the love?
Where is the love?
Where is the love?
Father, Father, Father help us
Send some guidance from above
'Cause people got me, got me questionin'
Where is the love?
Sing wit me y'all:
One world, one world (We only got)
One world, one world (That's all we got)
One world, one world
And something's wrong wit it (Yeah)
Something's wrong wit it (Yeah)
Something's wrong wit the wo-wo-world, yeah
We only got
(One world, one world)
That's all we got
(One world, one world)

I never heard an anti war song I liked. I have seen many things in the arts that represent peace that I have liked very much.
Anti war is so negative.
Pro peace is positive.
I Like to be optimistic.

The best anti-war song is the one that never gets written because humans finally quit having wars.

they don't care about us by michael jackson. well for my point of view, the songs tells us that engaging in a war doesn't seem to solve anything and that many lives were taken because of war, thus the line, they don't care about us. as if telling us that those who engage in war doesn't care if they hurt innocent people. they just go on with the war business.

Johnny I Hardly Knew You
* (Trad)
Chorus:
With your guns and drums and drums and guns, huroo huroo (2x)
With your guns and drums and drums and guns
The enemy nearly slew you
My darlin' dear you look so queer
Johnny I hardly knew you
While on the road to sweet Athy, huroo huroo (2x)
While on the road to sweet Athy
A stick to my hand, a tear to my eye
A doleful damsel I heard cry
Johnny I hardly knew you
Where are the eyes that looked so mild, huroo huroo (2x)
Where are the eyes that looked so mild
When my poor heart you first beguiled
Why did you skedaddle from me and the child
Johnny I hardly knew you
Where are the legs that used to run, huroo huroo (2x)
Where are the legs that used to run
When first you went to follow the gun
Indeed your dancing days are done
Johnny I hardly knew you
You haven't an arm, you haven't a leg, huroo huroo (2x)
You haven't an arm, you haven't a leg
You're an eyeless boneless chickenless egg
You'll have to be put with a bowl to beg
Johnny I hardly knew you
They're rolling out the guns again, huroo huroo (2x)
They're rolling out the guns again
To go to war in France and Spain
They never shall have our sons again
Johnny I'm swearing to you

It's got to be "Fortunate Son" by CCR....that song rocked in 1969 & still does today....This song was Fogarty's angry anti-privilege, anti-hypocrisy, condemnation of those who would wield their wealth and influence while appealing to the forms of freedom and patriotism, but only so far as their own interests were protected. Check out the lyrics...
Some folks are born made to wave the flag,
Ooh, they're red, white and blue.
And when the band plays "Hail to the chief",
Ooh, they point the cannon at you, Lord,
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no senator's son, son.
It ain't me, it ain't me; I ain't no fortunate one, no,
Yeah!
Some folks are born silver spoon in hand,
Lord, don't they help themselves, oh.
But when the taxman comes to the door,
Lord, the house looks like a rummage sale, yes,
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no millionaire's son, no.
It ain't me, it ain't me; I ain't no fortunate one, no.
Some folks inherit star spangled eyes,
Ooh, they send you down to war, Lord,
And when you ask them, "How much should we give?"
Ooh, they only answer More! more! more! yoh,
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no military son, son.
It ain't me, it ain't me; I ain't no fortunate one, one.
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate one, no no no,
It ain't me, it ain't me, I ain't no fortunate son, no no no,

They're usually written by people who do, or have done a lot of drugs.
War, good God y'all, what is it good for, blowin' up Iraquis.
Say it again...
