I done that once and wound up in a neck brace and with a few stitches. Thank god a Toyota hit me and not a Ford truck....... Holy cow I have one word for you...... PROZAC...

OMG, no way. Don't you realize how BAD people are at driving? They really might not see you and run right over you. They are talking on their cell phones, doing their makeup, texting, reading a book, etc. etc. So just for your OWN protection I'd say it is a really bad idea. And how would you feel if someone did crash their car and died? Could you live with the guilt the rest of your life?

I did it in Shinjuku Tokyo, Japan in the summer of 1967. Traffic stopped in both directions. Of course, it's the law there.

When I went to my orientation for the university, the campus police told us never to run across traffic because drivers in this town will speed up. He wasn't kidding!

Not only has the thought crossed my mind, I jump out in front of moving vehicles on a daily basis. I figure there's a better chance of getting hit than winning the lottery, but the result will be the same. :)

No ,and no most wont if you just run out there.you might cause an accedent but if you didnt die you would be charged with all the damages,and possibly committed

I've thought about it yes...but I don't stop traffic so I would be dead in the blink of an eye.

Its terrible to admit, but when I was a kid, we lived off of a major us highway. So we would walk the quarter mile or so to the highway and run across the highway in front of cars...Jeeze, we could have been killed and probably scared the crap out of dozens of drivers.
