No, you are most right. No matter what you always fall into shock and it's the worst feeling in the world. I never got over my dads death and I knew it was coming.

How can one prepare? I've never lost a loved one, so I wouldn't know. It's not something I like to think about.

Sorry to hear that. No, you can't prepare. Still, sudden death of a loved one is even worse.

Yes, my parents started to prepare us for their deaths when we were very young, I call it our programming. We did have time to realise they were going as they both had years of illness before they died.

Yes. I know my parents are going to die...so I've made sure that I've told them everything I want them to know, so there is nothing I've left unsaid or undone. I've even prepared for the death of either of my children (and it almost happened to one of them).

yes and no, its hard to explain and you will never be 100% prepared for the unknown unless you have total faith and zero fear

If you just dwell on it, it is crazy to think, like beyond comprehension... but if you are a good person, dont hurt or kill anyone, believe in God, then it is no sweat. Remember, Jesus loves you.

For me it was an uppercut followed by a pile driver.
