I started to have some bleeding. I was wondering if this means that labor is soon? I've been having contractions all day. They really haven't been painful. Am I close to going into labor?

It could be your mucus plug that is getting released. And since you have contractions as well... its better for you to check with your doctor. They may not be painful or may be you have the tolerance to pain. But its safe to check with the doctor to set your mind at ease. If the doctor says that there is still more time and you can wait, then its fine and you can wait until the actual day comes. But if it is the other way around its better to stay safe than to get into any risk. Sounds like you are close to labor.

Congratulation. You arent that far now and you are going to see and hold your bundle of joy very soon. :-)

Wishing you a very safe, smooth and peaceful delivery! :-)

If you are bleeding I strongly suggest you call the nearest hospital and just ask to speak with a nurse and tell her what is happening. It could be a number of things, so I would stay calm as it could be normal, but to be safe certainly you need to contact a nurse to confirm that it may be best for you to go into the hospital and be looked at to be sure. Better safe than sorry, you know?

I started bleeding also the day that I had my daughter. Please go to the hospital right away. They need to hook you up to monitors and make sure that everything is ok. Most likely, it is just a sign that you will be delivering soon though. Good luck to you!!

Sounds as if your mucous plug has been released, call the doc ASAP. Contractions means you are in labor

could be what they call a bloody show. If you are term and your contractions are consistant, start timing them. If you are not term, it could be a problem. Either way, call your OB-Gyn and let them know that you are contracting. That way they know to expect you sometime soon.
