Capturing Bin Laden would be little more than a propaganda victory. While AQ had free access to banking systems around the world, Bin Laden had a major role in choosing and planning terrorist strikes. With the increased surveillance and clamp down on funding, AQ has become decentralized. While his videos and continued elusion of the US are embarrassing, he is not a large threat.

Yes we should be looking in Pakistan. Thats where he is anyways. Its no secret. Everyone buys that myth that hes in a cave in Afghanistan. He left that after America invaded. He went into Pakistan and is probably livng in some small village protected by half the country.

That is where the intelligence community thinks he is at and they also believe the Pakistani intelligence agency is protecting him. However, with this community’s track record of inaccurate assessments that most recently got us into Iraq, I am skeptical. He is most likely in a Muslim country but where is anyone's guess.

BTW, Afghanistan is LARGER then Iraq
Iraq = 432, 162 sq km
Afghanistan = 647, 500 sq km
Pakistan = 804,000 sq km

The border between Pakistand and Afghanistan is so thin and mountainous that USA should look to Pakistan. Osama, an invention of the USA, is a terror that should be caught.

It only serves Cheney's interests.

Think of the geography of Afghanistan. The rural mountainous areas of vast land. And think of those who are protecting Osama Bin Laden. Did you know that approximately ten to fifteen percent of Muslims support militant Islam (radical Islamic terror)? That accounts for hundreds of millions of people.
I'm sure there are large groups of terrorists in Afghanistan protecting Osama and keeping him in hiding.

yes but the USA dare not upset the Pakistan government because they are suppressing the religious fundementalists. If they came to power they would have control of the nuclear weapons

No. Bush was looking for WMD. Weapons Of Mass Destruction. There were none, and nothing to make them with.

I don't think any time should be used at all looking for him. I think this country need to bring our military home. And deal with the problems here. Home need to be taken care of first. Let them come over here and fight us on our tuft. Don't you know how to protect your home if there is an intruder? Well this country should be prepared if we have intruders.
