Alright, I'm on birth control, so I KNOW when Im gonna start my period. I was supposed to last Sunday, and well its Thursday.. and nothing.
I spotted 2 weeks ago for a day, didn't think nothing of it until now.
Not to give details and sound nasty (im just looking for help) I read somewhere that when your having sex, and say the guy came in the girl say 10 minutes in, but kept the girl going for another hour.. that that helps in conceiving. And the last few times I have... um done the dirty, it's been like that.
Is that true?
The last time I had sex was the weekend of Sept. 22nd.
Is it too soon to take a test? If I went up to planned parenthood and took a blood test, is it still too soon to get an accurate answer?
I don't know anything about this
HELP!

And that thing with the sex, I just read yesterday, was caught up in the moment, and didn't know that it helps conceive! DON'T call me dumb. I knew the consequences and what could happen. I'm not dumb. I'm already in college barely 17.

You're on the pill, it's pretty unlikely you're pregnant. More likely it's stress and worry... take a test if you want but give yourself a few more days and I'm sure you'll be back to normal.

um, about your story i don't think thats makes any difference, its not like he's pushing his sperm up there any faster.
anyways, so if you know for sure you missed your period, you should be able to take a test because thats when you're supposed too, if you miss a period after having sex.
although the birth control does regulate your period it can also do other things, like make you spot and/or miss a period. some birth controls are made so that you only have four periods a year.
but i think your best bet now is to go get tested (or buy an at home pregnancy test) since your not sure about anything.

BC pills make your body think its pregnant thus not releasing an egg. Sometimes a period may be missed for a couple of months while on bc. At home tests are accurate but the best is a blood test that you Dr. can order for you. Tests can be done after your 1st missed period. Good luck

Not to freak you out but lots of people get pregnant on the pill. My nephews girlfriend now wife and a good friend off mine and the list goes on and on. I would take one asap. If you have missed a period it should come up but I would take one now and then again every week till you do get it. There are lots of reasons you miss your period though. If you get stressed out you can skip one change your diet drastically. If you are having sex with more than one partner. The guy should always pull out even when on the pill. You should be using a condom because now stds and aids are every were. One in five have an std. You may not be cheating but he may be and you don't want to ruin your life for sex. Plus think of all the children out there that are suffering because they have parents who didn't care enough to use protection and had them when that weren't ready. The children are the ones who suffer when the parents make the mistake. Please be careful. You should be married before you have kids, even though now it seems normal to have kids and not marry. That's not how it's suppose to be. If your not ready to be married and take care of kids you shouldn't be having sex without a condom and birth control. You say that your smart so act like it you don't want to ruin your school career do you. You are really to young to be having sex its a huge deal. Like I said not ready to have ababy and get married dont have unprotected sex.

its not too soon. however with birth control missed periods are not uncommon even if you've been taking it for awhile. also the exact day can vary im on ortho evra and have sometimes taken my patch off on sunday and not started until the saturday before i put the next patch on. dont freak out just yet. get a home test. if its negative wait a few days then try another test(two usually come per pack) if neg again your prolly ok. if pos then you should contact a gyno.

you must wait six weeks from the first day of your last period to check for pregnancy. If you are taking a low dose bc pill, you may just be experiencing an irregular cycle. No reason to freak out about it.

I think you should call a crisis pregnancy center and just ask questions. See what you are advised before you freak out. They can also help with decisions and how to handle that decision. I went to one about 13 years ago. I was scared and confused but they helped make the right decision for me.

okay well i know people who are on birth control and your period is really weird when you begin using it
so if it's a new thing, then yeah it's normal.
but if not, idk what to tell you
but the sex thing.
that's got to be the dumbest thing you can do, when you're trying not to get pregnate and then you have sex the way people trying to get pregnate do, what do you think will happen?
i would go get a test in a week or two.
maybe your period will come this coming sunday or something
and if not, take a test.

considering your era is overdue, bypass ahead and take a house being pregnant attempt. If it truly is unfavourable, carry off on telling him. The replace on your existence (going to culinary college - congrats, by using ways!!) could reason a replace on your cycle, and so can stress from stressful about being pregnant. So, take a attempt with day after state-of-the-paintings first urine, and if it truly is unfavourable and your era would not are available per week, take yet another one. until eventually then, i could carry off. he will understand quickly sufficient if there is something to understand!
