Cupcake, Try a discussion of deviant groups and deviant subgroups from the movie SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION. Good movie, Tim Robbins is a convicted murderer, who escapes prison. Prisoners are deviant groups, compared to law abiding people. His character is really innocent, and helpful to other inmates, and deviant subgroup as he is acting against the norm of a common criminal. He assists the warden in money laundering, a deviant act, only to double cross the warden upon his escape. Plenty of info online, and the movie is entertaining. I did a whole 5 page report on this subject of Deviance in Deviant groups ( being normal in an abnormal group) for my Freshman Sociology class. Good Luck!

If you want to pick a old movie pick Abhiman, actors amitabh and jaya. It was a simple love story over taken by ego and a happy ending and wonderful music.

Just pick a movie that you either really liked, or really hated. That way, your essay will be interesting and you'll know what you're writing about.
Best of luck =)
