because sometimes hurting the ones we love the most is easier than letting them hurt us.

I think sometimes we want to be sure they feel like we do... right now someone is calling who just drove me completely up the wall... he is calling relentlessly for the last half hour but I won't answer b/c it hurts 2 much. I don't know, we must all be at least a little crazy.

That is the logic of the life. Whom we love most we hurt them most as well.

When you love someone you give them power over you. When you're hurt you have a huge tendency to lash out and because they have opened up their heart to you they are easier to hurt.

Because they are closest to us, they see and experience our lives on a much closer level, so it only stands to reason they would be affected more and more often.
But, consider this -- Why do those that love us choose to be hurt by us?

Because they are always around, they will love us anyway, they know that when we hurt them it is just us letting off steam, they might know how to get us out of our mood....in summary, they know us best
and sometimes you love people so much it scares you and withdraw from that love

Because of strong ties and attachments and just getting let down and disappointed. It's hard to be disappointed in somebody who you aren't very close to. But somebody you have loved for years and somebody who it took a while to work your way up to being as close to them as you are, can just tear you down in a split second. It's amazing.

I don't think we TRY to hurt them as much as we do... I think it just hurts more because we are so close to them. The less we know someone, the less they are affected by what our actions are.

Don't know. I guess because we may be afraid of getting hurt so we hurt them first.
