What I read was that she give an interview this year that the next Harry Potter book profits would be donated to charity.

The recent book was sold as the " last " one to push sales.

For people asking when I read it it was two months before her latest book was published. That means this year. It was in three papers and from a interview. I am not the only one who read this as you can see by replies. I know its disappointing for those Potter fans who thought they had the " last " book but like Rocky 1 film good sales led to Rocky 2 now Rocky 5. Each one was the " last one ' !

I read this on the internet before HP7 was due. But it said that it wouldn't be another real sequel but rather a book where she uses all the stuff she couldn't put in the series and that it would be for charity.
Would be funny to know what ideas she had but didn't use in the books.
I qeued for HP7 when it was released July 21 from 12 to 145 am. Then I went to see some friends in a pub and one of them knocked my glass over and the book was soaked . Luckily it was only water but the person still got a hit over the head with the book.

I enjoyed so many things about the Harry Potter books: the adventure, the excitement, the fantasy, the friendship, the well-rounded characters, the wry humour and English cynicism. The characters were the most important factor in the whole thing, for me. Neville, Molly and Snape we the most endearing. It didn't really bother me that harry had 3 boys and one girl. I was just happy that he ended up safe and well. Heh, even kids ;D I kind of hope Rowling doesn't write another book about the Potter universe but if she did the thing I'd love to see above anything else is Snape being alive after all. His portrait wasn't above the desk in the headteachers office! ... sorry, I'm still in denial a little bit.

I'd say a story. I mean, the 7th book only just came out a few months ago, JK probably hasn't even thought about what might happen in the next book. (Which JK says might not even be written. How Sad.)
Harry might die in the next book. There's a likely chance that it will be set when Harry's in the Ministry (or where-ever). And if he's in the Ministry the only thing he can be is an Auror. And I'd say most Aurors have a potentially shorter Life Span that normal humans. i.e. Moody, Tonks, Lupin. And Everybody dies eventually. Although I think Moody was pretty old anyway.
He might die and come back to life again another two times.

If you have read the most recent Harry Potter book (Harry Potter and the deathly hollows) you will know that in the end Voldermort is well and truly dead and Harry is still alive.
In every Harry Potter book its about how Harry fights Voldermort, but once the nemesis is dead J.K Rowling cant write another book obviously, thats why she did that end chapter for 18 years later where they are all grown up with kids.
There is not to be another Harry Potter book and Harry is not going to die.
Though the films are getting worse as they are made!!!

Well, she did publish the "last" book as far as the series is concerned.
You are right, she has promised to come up with an encyclopedia in a couple of years time. And she may cover who Harry will eventually die in that - after all, he is mortal.

No. Eventually, JKR intends to write an Encyclopedia of the Potter world, but she has said she is through writing Harry Potter novels.

Don't think she's writing any other book..that's why at the end of the 7th book she wrote about him getting a family and the scar not hurting anymore.
