constant acceleration of of 0.6m/s^2. Just as it does,a Hummer pases it,going at a steady velocity of 65km/hr.

A) How LONG does it take the Mini Cooper to be going as fast as Hummer?
B) How LONG does it take the Mini Cooper to catch the Hummer?

I will assume the Hummer maintains a constant 65 km/hr, or
1 kilometer / hr = 0.28 m/s, so 18.2 m/s

The mini cooper speed is
v(t)=0.6*t

A) when v(t)=18.2, t=30.3 seconds

B) a catch occurs when
18.2*t=.5*0.6*t^2

note that t=0 is a solution, which is when the Hummer passed the Mini.
the other solution is
60.6 seconds

C) 1.1 km
