a 20 inch white pearl necklace or a 30 carat total weight diamond necklace ( just round diamonds) set in white gold?

I'd rather wear the pearls. I have always loved pearls and I think they are far more versatile as far as being able to dress up or down than diamonds.
I don't like diamonds set in white gold either because I think it makes the diamonds "disappear" into the metal.....I think diamonds need to be set into yellow gold to really stand out.
I vote for the PEARLS.

Pearls. I really couldn't imagine going to class everyday in a diamond necklace.

I'd say pearls everyday because I personally wouldn't wanna wear diamonds everyday because people could rob you. With pearls they're not as flashy as that diamond flashing put out people eyes and all (lol), but it wouldn't hurt to still have that diamond necklace in your jewelery box waiting to get put on.

me, I would choose the pearls! they're very pretty and not as expensive as diamonds. plus diamonds look as if your trying to show off while pearls make you seem wealthy but a nice kind not a snobby way.

Diamonds!!! They are so beautiful!!!! I wish I could have everything in diamonds. The way the light reflects off the cut is so pretty! Gotta love the sparkle and bling!!!
