How did scientist confirm on the structure of the earth. Did they actually drill to the earth's core and get samples of it?

It is currently impossible to drill to the Earth's core. At the present, we have not even breached the Earth's crust. Not only are the temperatures and pressures to great, but it's imply too deep. There are plans to attempt to drill through the crust to reach the mantle, but even that has been difficult since the funding or willingness to fund such a venture is just not there. The plans include drilling deep in the ocean, since that is where the crust is the thinnest.

At this current time. The structure of the Earth's interior is considered theory, because no one has actually seen beyond the Earth's crust. That is why it is called the Theory of Plate Tectonics and not the Law of Plate Tectonics. There is only evidence that the Earth is composed of layers (crust, mantle, and core). This includes, earthquakes/volcanism, the mid-Atlantic rift, and Earth's magnetosphere.

Hope this helps.

It is not completely theory anymore. We have determined the structure of the Earth using seismic waves. We know their velocities through certain materials. Look up the work of Sir Harold Jeffreys and Inge Lehmann.

As every 1 is saying, its just a theory. But how they can confirm is by the seismic wave velocities. They send seismic waves into the Earth & calculate their velocities. Seismic waves travel slower in liquid bodies and faster in solid bodies...with these velocities we can infer the composition also to some extent.

I hope it'll help.

no the didnot drill it
the core is known from the magma samples from different volcanos
the magnetic field around the planet confirms moltin iron ore core

no...
drilling to the core would be
very difficult and could cost billions of dollars
a special kind of drill would have to be made
and would have to be heat resistant! i think
by the 3rd lvl of earths interior its impossible to actually
survive the rest

no won has drilled to the core yet thy only got to the moho.

Nope- it's all imagination! Though it is quite believable, I am glad you asked this question. I get sick of theories...I like facts.

yea its impossible to get to the middle with out anything melting. its a theory of science just like evolution.

I dont think scientists got any samples....
they just guessed about wat the core is made of, by calculations and stuff
