I've been on the pill for over a year now and had unprotected sex within the last 24 hours. I haven't EVER missed any pills and my new pack for this cycle started on Sunday. Should I get the Plan B pill or *should* I be ok with my regular pill??

you should be fine with your regular BC pill, that is why you take them. Of course they won't protect you from std.

trying to refrain from being harsh, but common sense should dictate if you miss 2 weeks worth of pills and have unprotected sex that you are very at risk for getting pregnant. Therefore you should now STOP taking your pills until you know if you are pregnant so that you don't potentially harm the baby if you are in fact pregnant. I would suggest you take a test and if it is negative consider getting a blood test and definitely use condoms until you can get back on your pill. If you can't take the pills right then get the shot or the ring.

If you're on regular birth control, and haven't missed any pills, then I'm sure you're fine. They're designed for you to be able to have unprotected sex while taking them, and are very effective. I'm not even sure if Plan B works if you're on the regular pill, I would think it's redundant anyway.

No don't do the Plan B, whatever you do. If you have taken your birth control pills as you should, you are protected against pregnancy. You don't need to do anything else- that's what the pill does- it prevents pregnancy. That all said- pregnancy is the only thing it protects you from. It doesn't do a thing about protection against STD's. And there are plenty of them out there, and trust me- you don't want any of them. When you have sex, in spite of the pill- insist on a condom. No condom, no sex. Just because the guy says he's clean is not a guarantee. He can carry HPV, Herpes, and HIV, and not have a clue. From now on, use a condom.

if you haven't skipped any days you will be fine. If there were days that you did not take a pill (hormone pills not the placebos) then you want to get the Plan B. If you were on the placebo pills while having unprotected sex...relax you are still covered. all in all you should be ok.

The effectiveness of the pill is, <1-2 reported pregnancies in 100 women per year. So you should be safe.
