My sister wants to take my daughter to a performance of this but my daughter is only 13. I said no because I assume it's more adult content but I really know nothing about it except it has to do with Transvesties and Zombies? Is 13 to young to go????

She is absolutely too young. The people who attend the show and participate are loud, raunchy (I say this with love because I shout the lines with pride when I attend!) and will be doing things that are not appropriate for a 13 year old. Some theatres may even have an age restriction. Here are some links to more info on what goes on when you attend the show:

Our kids are growing up too fast as it is, no need for her to do this until she's 16 or older. Stick to your guns mom, you know best!

my two cents

Ugh! No! Say it isn't so! What an awful idea! Rocky Horror was a one time thing. No one working on it could have expected it to get the reputation and following that it did. You just can't PLAN that. In the early 80s Richard O'Brian actually make a sequel to Rocky Horror called Shock Treatment, and it suffered all the problems I expect a remake to suffer. You can't plan a cult classic. You just can't.

OK from a Gay Man. YES your daughter is too young. There are very real references to oral sex, homosexual sex scenes, and just inapprobiate references of the graphic nature. That is aside from the fact that if you GOING out to see it that there will be some questionable characters there. It tends to be an ADULT situation and the "SAY IT" Showings.

In the end it is up to you and only you know what your daughter is mature enough to see. I can say I would not let a 13 year old go, 15 and up maybe.

13 is definetly too young. I've gone many times. I'm older now, but still feel a person should be at least 17 or 18. Ask yourself this, would you let your 13 year old brouse an adult toy store? There's your answer.

I would say that 13 is probably a bit young for this. Maybe late 15 and early 16 would be better.

Yea, 16 would be a better age in my opinion, that was the first time I saw it. Remind her to take a bag full of toast, some rice, and plastic forks LOL

I wouldn't bring a 13 year old. It's an adult thing.

it is a adult themed show , so it is up to you the parent but she will see more shocking things in the crowd than up on the screen
