Once, someone pasted a link on this forum, which was all about what masculism is, and it said something along the lines of: "while gay men and minority men are welcome in the movement, we don't concentrate on special interests. We focus on men as MEN." So basically, if you're not straight and white, your issues are "special interest" and not important.
What this says to me is that masculism is lacking an academic base (well, duh). You can't fully analyze men's problems unless you relate them to our ideas about masculinity. The problems gay men face have a LOT to do with our views on masculinity and femininity, and how they relate to superiority and inferiority, and how we view male sexuality. The problems black men face have to do with racism, of course, but it's also because of the way we view masculinity (we certainly don't stereotype black men and black women in the same way, do we?).
Then again, I'm not surprised that they don't take this into consideration and instead think that sexuality and race are "special interest." They don't care to examine how ideas and stereotypes of tradtional masculinity can harm men - they only want to bring back male dominance and superiority.

It's a funny thing, I have never met a "masculinist" outside of this forum, and I'm fast coming to the belief that they are a purely text-based life form with no physical manifestation at all. Pure ASCII. I've met sexists, chauvinists, bigots, misogynists of every hue, haters, rights advocates, authoritarians and despots. But I've never met a masculinist. Is it a word someone invented in junior high when asked what the "opposite of a feminist" is, and it somehow stuck? It isn't in any dictionary. Is the masculinist movement what happens when ugly men with no hair, flopping manbreasts and enormous swollen beer bellies move their fingers over a keyboard? If so then I'm sure even extremely ugly men can be part of it too. Text doesn't care if you're cute.

How can one expect a real masculist to answer when they are all blocked? Sounds like you don't care or want to hear what they have to say. So what is the point in asking the question if you don't want an answer?
Anyways, we do allow gay men in the movement. I know that might come as a shock but, like has been said here numerous times about feminists, there are many kinds of masculinists. Here is a quote from a masculinists website "Mensactivism.org does not believe that political correctness, in and of itself, is a good thing. However, we do support the many issues that men of color and gay or bisexual men face, and want to encourage all men, regardless of their race or sexual orientation, to work together to improve men's lives and dignity".

I think the more patriarchal a society is, the more hostile they are to gays, so they suppress any gay tendencies. They accuse all feminists of being gay because they can't stand the idea of a heterosexual woman having abilities that might enable her to live on her own after dumping an abusive husband. Many of them are so insecure, they want to think of women as just vassals used only to pass on their genes, while they have all the mental and physical abilities, plus all the civil rights, and everything else in the universe revolves around their egos. As you know by the way women are mutilated in some societies, a lot of chauvinists not only fear women's mental and physical abilities, but also women's sexuality. So you can see that if they had their way, women would experience no sexual pleasure, have no real mental or physical abilities other than reproduction and cleaning up after them.

I think many masculinists hold to "traditional" views on relationships. (Although, not supporting the woman you get pregnant is NOT exactly Biblical!) Hmm... They *think* they hold to traditional views. So I would bet many are uncomfortable with Gay men. The ones likely to give creepy, anti-woman rants, probably give creepy, homophobic rants as well. However, I would think that Fathers' Rights groups would be more accepting of Gay men who are fathers.

The "Promise Keepers" type, definitely not.
The "Iron John" type, definitely.
And there are a range of views in between.
But I want to add, those who are equating male dominance with homophobia are taking a very narrow view of history. Look at the Greeks and the Romans. There's also a Japanese tradition of misogyny mixed with homosexuality among the samurai. And both can be detected in works of the Romantic period and early Modernism

Gay men welcome? Well, I neither gay or a man but I would think that as seriously scared of homosexual men as the machoist are, the answer would be no. The machos are scared that a gay man might make a pass at them. I think that's the reason for the violence against gay men by "straights."
Gay men have the misfortune to share the disrespect that women get from the machos.

The masculinists and men's movements are not true men's organizations like the Masons, Jewish Men's Clubs, Elks, Rotary, fraternities, etc. which are organizations devoted to empowering men and their communities and helping people other than just themselves. "Masculinists" and other such troglodyte reactionary groups do not believe in the concept of empowering ANYONE else but themselves. Masculinists are against equality for EVERYONE, for women, for gays and even for themselves. The core premise of their "movement" is that "alpha male" has a right to dominate and exploit all others, that the "dog - eat - dog - every - man - for - himself - might - is - right" savagery is best for society. It isn't, of course. But, for the handful of those men who lack what it TRULY takes to survive in a world that is slightly more complex than playing a video game, the notion of a society based on mere dumb strength and patriarchal laws that protect even the weakest men and gives them an easy advantage could be the best that such men can hope for in reality's competitive world, a world in which such men are not respected by the majority of men. The vast majority of healthy men think masculinists are losers and recognize in them their lack of character to rise on their own effort like the rest of humanity struggles to do.

If we're talking about old-school masculism, which advocates for men's rights without attacking women, yes, gay men are welcome. It's hard to tell with its new spokesmen.
