anybody else think rap music has gotten old and annoying and not as creative as it used to be?

Its not that you are tired of rap, its just that people forgot how RAP is made. All these wanabe rappers think that what they do is RAP when they don't even know the meaning of it.
Hip Hop RAp is a way of life, give your thoughts, write it in rhymes, but at the same time, CREATIVITY. Give Wordplays, Metaphors, about life. Rap is something that comes from the inside, all these so called RAPPERS don't know about it, because all they focus on is MAKING $$$$$$$.
RAP is not about making money, its about making music out of inspiration, great phrases, creative punchlines, wordplays. All that, use LITERATURE , EDUCATE yourself, RAP is not about street, or how rich you are, or how many guns or shots youve taken, or how many girls you pimp, or how hood you are, its about life, thoughts, things that come from deep inside.
RAP IN AMERICA DOESN'T EXIST ANYMORE, NOWADAYS ITS ALL ABOUT WHO IS COOL, HOT, AND SELLS CDS.
Just because you sell more Cd's doesnt make you the best.

May be you guys would like rock or pop or anything that brown people don't listen to. Something not right this is not a question. Maybe you should be open minded about more things! I dont think you know the mixtape circuit that well, that is where the real rap is, what you see on TV is coz artists try to be clean for their records to get played, for example 50 cent has far better songs on the mixtape series G-Unit radio than he has on any of his albums

That's why I don't listen to this new commercial pop rap bull $hit. I still listen to biggie, pac, big L, common, and nas. Just to name a few. Although these days I do like saigon, papoose and lupe fiasco.

no i'm just sick of people whining and crying about how they hate rap music and it not music and all this bs. but i am also sick of all that hard rock and metal trash music :)
