I have been going steady with the same guy for 4 months now. The first few weeks into the relashionship he was ready to have sex, but i told him that he was gonna wait a good 2 years before he would get sex from me because im not ready. I'm sixteen and still a virgin and he's 19 and hes not a virgin.

Anyways, on our third month i wanted to do something special for him (it wasent sex but it was like...sexual suff). And when i asked him he thaught i ment sex and he said "No no i want to wait because I love you to much to have sex with you." After i told him I wasent intending on having sex he said he was releived because with his ex he did it on the third month and he said the relashionship was only good for sex to him. And he tells me he loves me more than he ever loved his ex...so if he loves me more then he loved his ex what makes him think our relashionship will turn out like his preveous one...does he really love me to much to have sex with me? (even tho its not what i wanted).

Its a good thing..cause he knows you aren't ready. He's not pressuring you into anything. Sounds like you got a keeper :)

I can see several reasons here. one he may realize that you are still a miner being 16 and he is an adult past the age of 18, and feels it would not be right, or he may feel he could get into trouble. next, he may have not wanted to wait for 2 years, so he also found another girl that will. and he has her on the side. or he may be an honest person and really loves you, and would like to see you finish school and also become older before, doing something like that. the best way to find this out is to take the time and sit down with him and talk to him about it, ask him why. he will have to give a reason, of some kind.

But me, I feel you are way too young, to do something like that now. and he may feel, the same way.

far to may people jump into bed when they don't even know a person that well, if you consider that it takes two years to really get to know somebody then, No, you are wise to wait. However its a little bit concerning that he sees his previous relationship as only about sex, how long did that relationship last? finally if you really love someone of course you want to have sex with them its a way of showing and shareing your feeling physically, I think you and he need to keep talking and perhaps not set sex on a time line.

If he says that he wants to wait till you are 19 years old. That just tell me that he is being the gentleman and letting you enjoy your childhood, and on top of that if you got pregnant before you turn 18 he could go to jail if the police were involved. I do not think he could live with the knowing that he took your childhood before you turned 18. 19 is a different story cause you and him agree.

Sounds to me like a guy who either has enough respect for you that he doesn't want to ruin things between you, or he is afraid because you are under age and he is afraid of going to jail. I prefer to think that he really values you and doesn't want things to change. Be glad. If he is only afraid because you are under age, that will be remedied soon enough. If he really cares enough that he wants the time to be right, then you have found a prince among the weeds.

Read the book "He's Just Not That Into You". Then you will know if it is good or bad. My guess is this guy really is into you, so it's a good thing. Check out the book, it saved me more than once.

It seems like he loves and respects you enough that he doesn't want to do anything that you don't want to do so that is why he is not wanting to have sex with you its not that he thinks that if you have sex now that your relationship with him will turn out like his previous ones. All I have to say is it looks like you caught yourself a good one so have fun and the best of luck to you.

He fears that sex will change the dynamics of the relationship. Based on his experience, this might be a valid concern of his. It's up to you to show him you're not the ex.

He loves you enough to wait to have sex with you. For a non-virgin guy, particularly of his age, he's definitely a keeper because he seems very committed to you!
