My previous post states that political indoctrination has been outlawed in UK schools.

Wouldn't that be a wise choice for us, also?

I found most of the college professors I had who ran on and on at the mouth about their political beliefs and ideologies to be completely repulsive.

You got it, BRYAN. I well remember the arguments I engaged my profs in and the rough-riding I received afterwards.

When u want to continue a regime, of whatever kind, what do u do? You recruit the minds of the young because they are still impressionable and their minds can be manipulated.

At first, you might think yes. Liberalism is running rampant in American schools and its interfering with honest learning. Some examples, read the first if nothing else, it's astonishing and it's pure socialism.:

I've personally seen it. I had a psychology professor that gave me a failing grade on a midterm because I called the professor out in class one day. For a week straight she had talked about nothing but evolution and the "Christian extremists" attempts to suppress the scientific community. Finally I asked her how it related to the class and her response was "you're obviously one of them." After asking the Dean to re-grade my midterm, I got an A-.

I was taking a Kinesiology class my senior year. On the first day of class, the instructor told us exercise was important and if we didn't exercise we would all end up as fat slobs just like Rush Limbaugh. When I pointed out that there were lots of overweight liberals, The instructor told me to leave because I was "disrupting the class." I quickly dropped the class and replaced it.

My biggest concern with all of this isn't that's its liberals running our schools. Its that liberals are suppressing speech, ideas and debate within or schools and shoving political opinions down students' throats when politics have nothing to do with the subject matter. Passing a law telling teachers what they can or cannot discuss wouldn't be much different that what liberals are doing now. Ultimately, parents and communities are going to have to start holding these people responsible. And students are going to have to start standing up for themselves. They are the only ones who really know whats going on in the classrooms.

Yes, it would!!

I know several Alaskan families who fight with the school EVERY fall over taking their kids moose hunting. Learning how to take care of themselves and become self-sufficient apparently isn't a good enough reason to miss school anymore.

A local family made it's money logging. One of the kids in the family was riding along with his grandmother one day, and they passed a man cutting down an old, rotten tree. The poor kid burst into tears....when his grandmother asked him what was wrong, he replied, "that man is going to kill us all if he cuts down the trees!" Where did he get such a stupid idea? SCHOOL.

Teachers say they don't have time to raise our kids - and they're right - they don't! So QUIT TRYING TO!

Yes, it's pathetic.
Liberal professors actually failing students or marking them off if they don't like their political viewpoint.
Tell one of these pompous morons that there's NO consensus on Global Warming and they go ballistic.
Tell one of them that the reason for every single thing that has happened in history is NOT George W Bush and their derangement comes out and you get a D.

I personally believe any teacher caught pushing any political agenda on his or her students should be removed from the profession immediately.
