For whatever reason, the neighborhood cats LOVE to poop and pee on our lawn. They also dig it up with their claws when they scratch around. They act just like dogs, and now our front yard stinks, and our lawn has dirt patches and big patches of yellow where the cat urine killed the grass. Does anyone know of any good ways to keep cats off of the lawn?

There is a product called shake away for cats and it is made of predatory animal urine. It is safe and will not harm the pets, children, or plants.

I have the same problem. They have given my dogs the nastiest fleas too. I would say the best solution would be to push for legislation restricting the freedom of cats. Dogs can't run free, can they? Since that's not going to happen... this is what I plan to do next summer. Animals will not go near anywhere they smell a natural enemy. You can order any kind of urine brew off the internet. I believe Coyote scent would do the trick. Good luck!

There are repellant sprays so you might purchase, yet they're particularly high priced. i bought a twig that repels animals (raccoons, deer, squirrels) because of the fact each 365 days as quickly as I plant bulbs and contained in the spring as quickly as I plant annuals, those pesky squirrels dig them up like they're gold! those sprays generally value around $12 - $14 yet a number of them final for approximately 3 months. It worked, however the wear and tear had already been achieved via the time i assumed-approximately it. in case you plant only earlier it gets extremely chilly, and then spray that area, it is going to final long sufficient until eventually the floor freezes. you additionally can positioned a ton of leaves on suitable of the floor the place you have planted the bulbs, then moist down the leaves properly and then spray the product to maintain them out. Or...you ought to purchase a small area of chicken twine, lie it flat and stake it to the floor over the planted bulbs until eventually the floor gets chilly or freezes, then pull it off. Or wait until eventually the time the plant life are pushing in the process the floor contained in the spring and then pull off the twine. it is extra low-priced than the spray and extra effective - cats can not dig the place they are able to't get sufficient floor!
