The beginning of labor for me felt like gas cramps.
But I was confused because I was actually farting and the cramps were so random it took me a few hours to realize it was time for a baby!
Good Luck!

You may be in labor. Snotty looking discharge isn't a positive though.

I had lost my plug and was bleeding for about 2 weeks before I actually went into labor. I went to the hospital and I was 3CM dilated. I stayed that way for 2 full weeks.

I kept having labor pains, they would come and go and I thought for sure I was in labor. And I wasn't. You will know for sure when it's time to go.

I woke up at 2am and knew it was time. I delivered 45 minutes later.

If you are confident you think you are in labor than go to the hospital, but they will ask you how close your contractions are. They will not tell you to come in if they are 25-30 minutes apart.

Once they get to be about 10 I would plan on going. But you want to make sure. Because it's a hassle going in for false labor.

the discharge is your plug, that is normal. I would say your starting labor contractions. But your not in full active labor. I would call my doc. and see what they have to say. Most likely they will tell you to lay down, if they stop then your not in labor. And they will probably tell you to wait till they are 8-5 min. apart before coming into the hospital. But on the other hand if you live far from the hospt. that wouldn't be a good idea to wait too long. Call your doc. that is your safe bet. they will advise you better than anyone online. Good luck and congrats.

Call an ER directly, (use the phone book, not 911) don't give your name, just say,
"Oh my God, I'm having pains - is the baby coming?"

You'll probably get someone who'll jump right in and ask you a number of questions to determine if you need to come in. Then you'll know.

If they're good, they'll tell you to come in anyway - to make money. If that happens, call a different ER directly.

When the contractions are like five to ten minutes apart, THEN I'd go to the hospital. But, I'm not the one you should be asking - sorry.

you may be starting. just time your contractions, if they're getting closer and longer, you may be already in labor. if you're contractions are less than 10 minutes apart, I suggest you go to the hospital already. the discharge might be the mucous plug. i had the mucous plug discharged on the morning of the 9th had the baby on the afternoon of the 10th.

You might be in early labor because real contractions would be between 2-5 mns apart
