I like to think YES everything happens for a reason.
And eventually I would figure out why something bad happened. Like if my tire blew out in some remote area, Why ?..then I would read that there was a major wreck where I was heading and maybe I had the flat tire to keep me from being in that wreck.
I don't get really upset when bad things happen, I take it in stride and realize that maybe Jesus is just protecting me.

Most of the time, when something bad or good happens it can be justified if you really think about it.
So YES ...I believe it happens for a reason

If this is a bona fide philosophy Q, I recommend looking up "the principle of sufficient reason" formulated by the 17th rationalist philosopher Gottfried Leibniz. He thought this was the "best of all possible worlds" and everything that was real or existed ,did so because of the principle.

Yes. Everything happens for a reason. But not in a 'destiny' sort of way, in a 'cause and effect' way.

Yes, but not in some religious, mystical meaning. For every effect there is a cause. "Causes" means "reasons." Everything that happens has a cause, be it of physics, philosophy, politics, etc.

Yes certainly everything that happens is in God's plan for our lives....he already knows what is going to happen before it does. If he knows the count of the hair on my head then he certainly knows what is going to happen and when. The good things that happen are our out from God and the bad things that happen is our test from God. It all makes us who we are and always makes us a better person

i think that with anything that happens, we as humans are logical creatures and manage to find a reason for it happening. human nature cannot accept things just happening, it is part of our makeup to find answers and reasons. so everything happens, and we will always find a reason.

No. People have free will and when they use it they may adversely affect someone else. There are some things that are pre-determined. Some people are born with a predisposition to certain illnesses. Eventually, things even out over many lifetimes. If you do good, you will build good karma and vice versa.

Sometimes things happen for a reason, sometimes s**t happens. One day, my morning totally sucked because the lawn mower at my grandma's got all effed up and I had to pull it all the way up the driveway, uphill. However, it was actually good luck because it distracted my father so I could get home before he could to hide a surprise present for his birthday.
