I've worked cleaning houses for 5 years. I think it's finally wearing me out physically. I'm thinking of switching to a laundry service, but I'm not sure how that will do around here. I haven't seen any services like that in this area. Do you think that will take off and be profitable considering the driving that needs to be done to pick up and drop off loads?

$2.25. That's what it costs to do a load of laundry at my apartment's laundry room. I'm not willing to pay someone to do something that I can do easily.

It cost me $6.00 to do a load of laundry. You will have to worry about care instructions on the material, different fabrics and colour. Too much to do for so little in return.

I would say $5 unless I have a washer and dryer at home then it isn't worth anything since I would have to be home to give the dirty clothes and get back the clean. If I didn't have a car or washer I would pay more.
