Perhaps it was a colleague, or the love of your life, or a tough boss, or your 16 year-old daughter in a fit of unexpected kindness, or a tough football coach, or a grateful customer, or a parent who always seems to expect more from you, or a complete stranger in an restaurant.... What ONE thing did someone say to you that literally made your hair stand up on your neck and filled you with joy and made you realize that sometimes the challenges in our lives can instantly melt away because one person chose to acknowledge us with love, appreciation, kindness or respect?

Share what was said to you, who said it (ie. your relationship to them) and the situation (if relevant).

This is an invitation to reflect on a GOOD moment in your life... so don't pass it up!

Something I wasn't used to. After losing 100 pounds and a year of heavy martial arts work outs. I was in McDonald's with the most beautiful girl I had ever known. She was my girlfriend , one who I didn't feel that I was on her level. A blond haired blue eyed dancer/model. I felt so blessed to be with her.

As we walked in , An older woman with two tables of young girls grabbed me and said, Oh my God , you are so gorgeous and turned to my girl and said , don't let him go.

Her reply was, don't you worry, I won't.

She later became my wife.

My mom always tells me she loves me and how much I mean to her....and that always makes me feel good.
But her friend told me the other day at thanksgiving dinner ( canadian..so ours is earlier) that I'm so bubbly and bright and that I make her feel good to be around. She said that I've helped her through some tough times, aswell as my mom. And I never expected it and it felt really good. It was so genuine. I don't hear that alot from people other than my mom.

A friend told me that she really believed in me and that she would do anything for me when I almost gave up a chance to life. It's not really what she said that really counted, it was what she meant and what she was doing (comforting me) that really counted to me. But that also the nicest thing someone have ever told me. thank you for asking and letting me reflect on that moment.
