I like the sound of Rudy with Huckabee as running mate...

I like Ron Paul and I like Huckabee, but could they win the national election against Hillary? I'm just not sure. It seems Rudy would be most popular with those in the middle. Honestly, the main objective has to be to keep Hillary OUT.

None of them will be able to defeat her. Giuliani is an opportunist & a phony.

I think if they stick with the people currently running, Mike Huckabee is probably the best.

He has the advantage of not being in Washington currently so he is not responsible for the mess in Iraq or for the mess that is the federal budget (which ultimately will spell the end for McCain, Hunter, Brownback or Tancredo).

His political views are in-line with most of the Republican interest groups. (Which is Giuliani's big problem, if he gets the nomination, the social conservatives may end up saying a pox on both your houses.) He also comes across as a friendly face (again one of Giuliani's problems).

Bottom-line, governors are better candidates than people currently serving in Washington. They get to run as outsiders and change agents.

I am not sure if even Huckabee can win without some fundamentals changing in the race. While Hilary has high negatives, most of those negatives are with people who wouldn't vote for any of the Democratic candidates. In addition, her bad press allows her to pleasantly surprise moderates and independents by not being the witch that ultra conservatives portray her as being.

Ron Paul. His stance on Social Security, illegal immigration, the internet, restoring a constitutional representative republic, The Federal Reserve, IRS, Energy.......well frankly the list goes on. We need to shrink the fast approaching evident tyrannical behemoth we call a governmentWe have the president we need, now all we need is a House of representatives that will also "truly" represent the "people". The government can never be trusted, but i sure as hell would like knowing without a doubt that the "people are firmly in control if the need were to arise. In other words the government needs to fear the ppl instead of the people fearing the government. It's backwards as of now and has been for several decades. Time for change. Time to get back"True" freedom and "true"Independence. Just remember with this comes a very great amount of responsibility on each individuals part(if you so choose). Thanks

Ron Paul 2008.

Well you have to have someone who will pull the small umbrella of the GOP. So socially moderate, but anti-choice, and fiscally conservative. So you would probably be safe with Governor Huckabee and Thompson as the Vice President. Or perhaps Huckabee and Trent Lott in the VP. Just a thought.

It may not matter all that much... she may prove to be unelectable.

Remember, she has a very polarizing affect on many Americans, a great deal of whom happen to be in the center, which is exactly the group any successful candidate will have to sway.

I think many people also keep in the back of their mind the thought that had she not been married to Bill Clinton, she wouldn't be running for president of anything right now.

And that begs the question: Did she stay married to the guy just to insure her political future? If it is judged that she did, then that will not sit well with the married women of this country whom she will need to carry in order to win.

Nope, doesn't look good for Hillary...

I additionally sense Hillary might make a great president. shall we placed it this way, absolutely everyone could be extra ideal then Bush.

Rudy Giuliani because he is everything she isn't . When he was mayor of NY he lowered taxes and cleaned up crime . He knows first hand what terrorism can do to America and he'll do everything in his power to fight it . Without freedom and liberty-nothing else much matters . Hillery Clinton on the other hand - talks about raising taxes , and having carte blanche with our wallets to fund socialism .. She says Americans have "too much freedom of speech"..and wants to stop the flow of information over the Internet ever since Matt Drudge broke the Clinton-Lewinsky story - when the major networks sat on the story . Hillary's dirty deeds are around the world on-line before she has time to change accents & alibis ; and Americans don't care for socialism or communism .

Whether or not you believe Giuliani is the best candidate for President, I happen to dislike them all equally, he's certainly the best pick to beat Hillary. Giuliani would have no trouble selling himself as far more experienced and hands-on than Hillary Clinton has ever been. His work in New York City will be enough empirical evidence to suggest that he's a tough guy and a good leader, even if those phrases don't mean much in particular. While Hillary has nothing to go on but her name.

Rudy but he won't carry the south unless he has Duncan Hunter or Hucklebee as his running mate.....

Rudy's name recognition is about as big as it comes from the 9/11 attacks on NY. I think he could do a great job.

I can only pray that Hillary doesn't get in.... Every attack on Americans from terrorists in Bill Clinton's administration was ignored leading to 8,000 unnecessary American deaths. He talked big about "hunting them down" but never did. Even let Osama get away when we found him and had him contained. The Clintons have dirt under their fingernails from all the illicit "deals" they've made as far back as "travelgate" and Rose Law Firm.

Did you know the Clintons live in their house free? Bill automatically gets Secret Service Protection for life. Their home did not have "room" to house his detail so they built an additional building just for them and the Clintons charge the government rent equal to their house payment for the detail of Secret Service to live in in order to guard Bill Clinton? Is that not a big farce or what?!?!?

Giuliani. I'm rooting for Hillary, of course, but this would be my favorite match-up.

He possesses the values that make up the core of the Republican party, the real one, before it was high jacked by Bible thumpers.

no ones even mentioned Duncan hunter, hes a good guy and hes done very well in the debates. he doesn't seem as much of a self promoting politician that can't be trusted as the others which is a good thing.Reagen was a great president and he wasn't either. We in Texas already voted that he'd have our support if the primaries were today.
