The real flaw of Marxism is that it relies on a single-party system. In theory, this party should have the workers' best interests at heart. In practice, ambitious individuals end up inside the party from which they seek personal advantage.

In a word, communism was not successful at reigning in private ambition and in a system where the only outlet for that ambition is through government, corruption will flourish.

The most important one is that Marxism can only accomplished be by unlawful coercion, the initiation of force. All the other flaws flow from this one.

That having immediate recall of politicians is going to keep them honest. that has never worked in real life.
That increasing the power of the state, even a "worker's state', would somehow lead to the state withering away. The opposite would happen.

It doesn't provide the opiate to the masses.....it doesn't cushion people from the harsh reality of their utter death and annihilation....
