There aren't just trying to force in on the Catholic church, the are trying to force in on the rest of society.
The are using the courts because they can get the votes they need to amend 50 different state constitutions and/or changes the laws in all 50 states. If you can get the majority to vote with you, they you sue and claim discrimination.

Well, first of all gay marriage isn't legal. Some states have allowed it, but it's very limited because it's just a few states.
Second, even if it was legal in all 50 states, there aren't any laws that would FORCE any church to perform the ceremonies.
Third, even if it was legal and somehow people found a loophole in the law to try to force the church to do it, the Catholics have a pretty good system of doing whatever the hell they want within the confines of the Church and not answering to anyone else's orders, legal or otherwise.
Fourth, why are you scared of it happening? Will gay people being allowed to marry really screw up your life that much? Will it make you any less married, or your relationship or marriage any less sacred or wonderful? Come on. There have to be bigger things for you to worry about.

The Catholic Church is amazingly a lot adverse to same sex marriage and thinks it has a monopoly on the note marriage. There are some Catholic persons who could disagree with this, yet overall the church as an agency would not help it

As opposed to the churches and its members seeking to deny us the right and privilege to marry, gay advocates will not seek to force religions to conduct same sex marriages. But they can feel more than free to do so, if they wish. But civil marriage is just fine.

I'm assuming that because you think gay marriage is legal, then you must be in a country other than the United States. Maybe you're just misinformed.
Like most of your fears, I'm sure, this one is unfounded. Seriously, is this what keeps you up at night? As far as I'm concerned, the Catholic Church can do whatever it wants, so long as it's willing to pay taxes like the rest of us. I'm a little tired of this (indirectly) publicly funded hate mongering and legislating from the pulpit.
As soon as the courts can force the Catholic Church to stop hiding child molesters, I'm sure they'll get right on forcing you to allow gay marriages. Whatever.

The courts have no authority over the churches due to the separation of church and state clause in our constitution. It is the individuals church's decision to marry or not marry the homosexual members of that particular church.

Better than making them repress it and join the seminary to shift focus away from their unaccepted sexual urges by way of celibacy. I'd rather have "husband and husband" than "priest perpetrator and child victim".
I wrote a paper on that. It's a big claim, but there's tons of evidence for it.

Thank God gay's can't reproduce.
P.S. Courts can't force the Church to do anything.
