Your mama don't dance and your daddy don't rock and roll - Poison Momma we're all crazy now - Quiet Riot Where do we go from here - Alan Parsons Project The smile on your face - Alison Kruase She's always a woman - Billy Joel Play that funky music - Wild Cherry Your daddy don't know - Toronto Wild Thing - Tone Loc As the days go by - Talking Heads Lady - Supertramp Its a wide variety as i have no idea what your mom is like. There might be a few questionable songs. Most are era correct I think to some degree I have no idea about instrumental music that would be appropriate. Or very limited anyways.

There are lots of good oldies but goodies, especially Elvis tunes such as: "All Shook Up" & "My Way." I also like the suggestion of "Life is a Highway" by Rascal Flatts. "Celebrate" by Cool & the Gang is always a great birthday song. "Me & My Gang" by Rascal Flatts would be a good one to play while showing video of groups of friends & family. Some of Prince's early songs with a fast tempo are very good for parties as well.
