Give us an idea what your mom is like and her rough taste in music, what her type of humour is. Your mama don't dance and your daddy don't rock and roll - Poison Momma we're all crazy now - Quiet Riot Where do we go from here - Alan Parsons Project The smile on your face - Alison Kruase She's always a woman - Billy Joel Play that funky music - Wild Cherry Your daddy don't know - Toronto Wild Thing - Tone Loc As the days go by - Talking Heads Lady - Supertramp Its a wide variety as i have no idea what your mom is like. There might be a few questionable songs. Most are era correct I think to some degree I have no idea about instrumental music that would be appropriate. Or very limited anyways.

There are lots of good oldies but goodies, especially Elvis tunes such as: "All Shook Up" & "My Way." I also like the suggestion of "Life is a Highway" by Rascal Flatts. "Celebrate" by Cool & the Gang is always a great birthday song. "Me & My Gang" by Rascal Flatts would be a good one to play while showing video of groups of friends & family. Some of Prince's early songs with a fast tempo are very good for parties as well.

I'll be 50 in January. One of my favorite songs is Zeppelins 'In my time of dyin' or 'When the Levee Breaks'. But there not
very country.
