Why are you throwing s**t on the field?

If you want to play with the big boys of New York, Chicago, and Boston, you have to learn that the actions of a few of your fans will reflect on all of you. And you will be labeled such as "all D'Backs fans are trash-throwing idiots". Sure most of you aren't trash-throwing idiots, but are all Yankees fans obnoxious, are all Red Sox fans annoying, are all Cubs fans pathetic drunks? Of course not, but some are, and they reflect on all of us. When we go on the road it's "look, there's another obnoxious Yankees fan" or "that Red Sox fan is annoying" or "the only reason that Cubs fan still roots for his team is because there's like 20 bars within walking distance of Wrigley Field". So get used to it D'Backs fans. That is, if you really want to play with the big boys.

Not all, but just those idiots who payed for tickets and now get ejected and get to spend a night or two in jail (what fun...). The umps obviously made the right call. Those fans that threw stuff on the field are getting the punishment they deserve. I'm sure they embarrassed other Diamondback fans and the team itself! Shame on them.

They threw stuff on the field because they are not "real" baseball fans.

That moron threw an elbow at him! Hardly a "baseball move". If he would have just tumbled down there, fine....but to do a pop-up slide and then reach outwardly with an elbow......come on now.

Silly d-back fans, tricks are for kids!

I would love to ask the very same question! It's really too bad they don't replay on the scoreboard with really controversial plays....I was watching the game from my home in Colorado with my family and all of us could tell that the move from whoever was the base runner (can't remember his name...don't know the D-Backs players that well) was absolutely on purpose and that was the greatest call of the night for the ump!

Oh, for crying out loud. You saying no other fans do that? Arizona has had a team now for what, 100, 120 years? Jees, Louise, give me a break. No class fans? Come on! Let's not talk about the Phillies, the Cubs, or any other classy act.

I am not a D-Back fan, but we should keep in mind that this was likely the acts of a small number of "fans", and that it would not be fair to judge all the Arizona fans because of it.

Some more fans saw who was throwing stuff and cooperated with the police, resulting in the arrest of at least some of the perpetrators. So not everyone down there can be all bad.

well than you also think that fans in boston, ny, and philly have no class as that is a common occurance there. 50 jack@sses out of 49000 people should not change peoples perception of our fan base. we all dont give a flyin F**k what you guys say because wheres your team in the playoffs?

sorry to be rude but im just sick of it. worry about your own fans, own team, and own city.

Oh, and Yankee fans have class? Ever been to a game there?

It just goes to show that the fans in Arizona are NOT true baseball fans, where were they during the regular season? Nothing but a bunch of flagwaving fairweather bastards if you ask me. Classless to put it simply.
