I've not been to Branson, and the last time I was at Nashville was over 20 years sice,Jimmy.C.Newman,Jean Shepard were singing, along with others. Since then,by all accounts, the Opry seems to have rapidly gone down hill, reading some comments on here.I can well believe it
'modern country'
'Nashville rocks'
Say no more,
if that's the case, and they've made it a pop venue, then shame on them

If we are talking about entertainment I have to go with Branson. I have been to Nashville and the only radio stations I could pick up were playing rock. So I am left to guess that the shows would be no better. Branson for me.

The Opry used to be the very best...now, I'm not so sure. Branson isn't bad..I guess I like it 'cause I'M OLD!!! I see more young people there than I do in Nashville!!!

Shame on you Okiefan-Bakersfield!!! ;)

Seriously though, Nashville's been trying to kill country music since the 1960s and Branson-I shudder at the thought.

Nashville! I have been to Branson more times than I can count, and I firmly believe it is just a cheap imitation.

I've never been to either place, but I'd love to go to Nashville, to the Grand Old Opry!
