What is the name of the font in the words, "Boston Gazelle"? or any font similar to it? It`s the same font in every single link. Ten points to best answer! Thank you.

On the first two links, it looks like Bolton Gazelle, but it really reads Boston Gazelle so I just wanted to clear that up. The third link has a better view of the words.

Hi! Your fonts look to be versions of Caslon (which is never free) and JSL Ancient Italic. Here is some history about the fonts used at that time and a bunch of fonts that will get you pretty close. In the classic reference 'Printing Types: Their History, Forms & Use.'' the author indicates that most colonial work was with types of the Caslon Old Style fonts and cheap copies of same in the 18th C.

I think . . . that I will name this font . . . Charley Appling.

Really no reason -- just a little bored and have no real idea.

Have a great night!
