I just LOVE Claire!! I don't care for the Desiree part of it at all - and really HATE the Dezyrae spelling (looks like her mother didn't know how to spell).
Sorry - I think Desiree sounds like a soap opera chick's name. I like more conservative or tradional names with Claire.
How about
Claire Louise
Claire Marie
Claire Suzanne
Claire Christine
Claire Dianne
Claire Julia
Claire Charlotte

I like Claire Desiree Alexander
I think spelling Clare the same way as your mom's would be a lovely tribute.
Clare Desiree Alexander
Would you rather her be called Clare most of the time or Desiree? Whichever one you prefer should go first. I prefer Claire.
ps
please don't play with the spelling too much! It's the same name anyway and it just makes it more confusing.
pps
I think using Desiree is a nice idea, especially if you have wanted this baby a lot or for a long time... because that's what it means... very much desired. I also think it's best as a middle name. Clare Desiree Alexander is a perfect name! :)

I like Claire Desiree. It flows better and Claire Alexander isn't as much of a mouthful as Desiree Alexander. Plus, i just like the name Claire

I think either name is fine, but I don't think they flow well together. They have very different sounds and flavors. Desiree is exotic where Claire is more traditional and solid. Figure out which one you like best (personally I vote for Claire) and then find a middle name that's in the same line of thought. Also, I HATE inventive spelling. You sentence the child to a lifetime of spelling their name, pronouncing their name, and they never find any personalized items with their name. That may not seem very important, but it can be a big deal to kids and their classmates.

Honestly, I would go with Claire Desiree. No offense, but Desiree comes across as a stripper name.

I really dislike Desiree. It sounds trashy. How about Denise Claire Alexander?

I have a picture in my mind of an 80 year old woman named Desiree. Sounds real slutty doesn't it?

I don't like the name Desiree either...but thats just me, she can always have a nick name!
Rei, Ray, Rae...Claire Alexander.
Racheal Claire? I like that :)
I fell in love with the name Ryden (Riden).
Ryden (or Rayden) Claire.
Keep in mind that naming your child really can effect the way she grows up, when you think Sarah or Stephine, you probably think of someone kind or someone with a big heart.
Britney, Christina, Breana...A social fun dedicated person might come to mind.
I was told that my name, Meagan, ment strong though ive read it also means little pearl. I agree all the way, im athletic and very determined, and i feel as if i do have a girly classic style.
Another thing to consider is what sign your girl will be. Look up some zodiac characteristics
heres an example...
I am a Sagittarius
"Sagittarians are philosophical, optimistic, intellectual, explorative, and tactless. They love challenges of all kinds and throw themselves into intellectual or phyical pursuits. Sagittarians are optimistic extroverts who draw the admiration and affection of all they encounter.
It is important to Sagittarians to complete everything that they are set out to do. Boredom is a problem for the Sagittarian."
Its true! (and i JUST read that for the first time) I am verryyyy peaceful i practice committing myself to it every day.
Any ways http://www.howard-winn.k12.ia.us/projects/ind_study/h2ind/astrology/zodiacinfo/zodiacinfo.html there is the zodiac web site. if you know when shes due, look up that sign (and the signs before and after just incase!) and think of a name that will fit her zodiac characteristics.
I don't know how true this is...(just a rumor basically) That children named something completely opposite of what their sign means...like naming a Scorpio (someone who values privacy verry much) and naming them with a social out going name like Britney, tend to be confused and unhappy.
...just something i thought id share.
hope this helps!
