Assuming all the 9/11 conspiracies are true, I still don't think they would pull another false flag operation so soon. They've got all the war they need right now, and even the less conspiracy inclined Americans might start to get suspicious.

false flag operations are those carried out under the guise of another nation or flag. for instance there was a false flag operation in 1967 when Israel was under attack. Both Johnson and the Israelis wanted America to get in the war quickly so they agreed to sacrifice a U.S. warship to make it look like the Egyptians had attacked the United States. This ship was the U.S.S. Liberty. google it and see the Israelis attacked it and killed 34 sailors and would have sunk it if not for the valor of our military and a bit of blessing from our God. This is history and not out of the imagination of "wackos". Our nation has deliberately attacked itself on 9/11 to convince the people to attack the middle east (and sacrifice their constitution).
The desire to attack Iran by those in power will be satisfied probably without the need for a false flag event. They can pretty much do as they please at this point.

I think that since 9-11 was so obvious, they feel the need to be a bit more careful about inflicting another false flag operation upon the American public.
