Try to reinstall off your restore CD. It sounds like a dodgy hard drive but you may just have corrupted the MBR by accident.

Sounds like you either have a bad hard drive or the boot sector is missing.

Either your BIOS boot settings is not correct, or your hard drive is faulty/corrupted.
