Could possibly be high blood pressure. Why hasn't she gone to a doctor? I don't want to scare you but if that is the problem, that her pressure is that high, she could have a stroke. Is there anyway to get her to a doctor???

Lots of people are prone to nosebleeds in autumn (I'm one of them). The blood she's spitting is probably just her sinuses draining into her mouth.
The dry air of fall can irritate nasal tissues. That, coupled with a vitamin deficiency, could cause problems with her blood's ability to coagulate and stop the bleeding (my doctor told me it was a vitamin K deficiency).
Have her see a physician as soon as she can, but rest assured this could easily be something VERY minor. Try not to worry until there's something worry about.

It could be as simple as a ruptured vessel in her nasal passage that may need to be cauterized, or it could be a blood pressure or heat issue, she needs to see a doctor to find out what it is and make sure its nothing serious.

your mother needs to go get checked out by a doctor it could be something simple like dry membranes or something like an infection causing the bleeding - a doctor examination is required for her to have a dx.
