Jimmy Carter's presidency was a disgrace, and his post-Presidency is also a disgrace. No past president came out to criticize Jimmy Carter during the Iran hostage fiasco. Historically, former presidents stay out of partisan politics. They make themselves available to support the current President in times of crisis, but they do not engage in foreign policy or foreign crisis in partisan ways. Carter should be neutered.

Well... probably not. But I notice that most here are pretty quick to jump on ol' Jimmy - just remember this:

He didn't elect himself.

No, we voted for him in sufficient enough numbers that he beat Ford.

Remember why? 'Cause we were mad at Ford for pardoning Nixon.

So we sent a neophyte to the White House and he effed everything all up. Oh my! What a shocking surprise!

And now just try to find someone who'll admit they voted for the guy. My guess is they'll be as hard to find as someone who, in 20 years, will admit he/she voted for W.

Sure, and advice from Micheal Jackson on baby sitting, and advice from OJ Simpson and Robert Blake on marriage counseling, and advice from Paris, Britney, and Lindsay on "just saying no" to ANYTHING!

By the way, most Americans probably don't remember that it was some Canadians who actually succeeded in freeing some of the hostages that o'l Jimmy couldn't free with all of his "let's talk" mumbo jumbo.
