I think that there is a risk of getting sick with seafood regardless of wether you are pregnant or not!

I haven't because I don't think that you're supposed to...however, I have eaten cold cut sandwiches (Not supposed to...Listeria risk) unabashedly thought all 3 of my pregnancies without contracting listeria...I drink 2 cups of coffee a day at least and I use the microwave. I have 2 normal kids and the third one...well, I guess I'll find out...:-)

I have. My doctor says no problem with sushi, the only risk is taht I could get sick, not the fetus.

The risk of a bad one making you sick is higher uncooked, the risk to baby is not worth it, even cooked shellfish would be a risk.

Well my craving with my first baby was tinned mussels on bread.Gross as it sounds I could not get enough I didn't get sick & my baby was fine.
