How do I check to make sure it goes to 350?

A 300 watt power supply is quite feable. I would go to the 400-500 range. That way you'll never have to worry about all your components working together.

The rated wattage is the maximum available. So that means it's capable of putting out the much electricity. Not that it will when you don't need it.

The quoted power is not always true power, so a 350W may actually max out at 250W, you need to check the specs to make sure.

Adding a larger powersupply to your computer, will not blow up your computer.

no wont hurt it at all just means you can add more stuff in the future
