The more I travel round the world, the more I love Italy.
I know very well Liguria, especially Genoa, Sanremo, Portofino, Alassio.
The "Cinque Terre" near La Spezia, is one of the most beautiful and romantic place in the world...I left a piece of my heart there

Yes, I visited Italy when I was in 7th grade, many, many years ago! I am not sure if I visited La Spezia. It's been to long! Italy is a beautiful country!

Yes when I was in the Marine Corp. I got a choice of where I wanted to take my leave, so I took it in Rome. That was before you were born. If I would have known you were there, I would have beat a path to La Spezia, so fast.

Yes when I was in the service, the us navy. I got to see Napoli, Pompeii, Livorno, Piza, Trieste, but I didn't get to see La Spezia. If only I had known you were there! Momma mia back then you might have been available, but probably under age for me...LOL!!!!

Twice - once to Rome (would love to go back there and spend longer), Last year for my husband's 75th birthday, I took him on a surprise holiday to Lake Garda. We had a day trip from Malcesine to Venice (unbearably hot and humid at the beginning of July), and to Verona; then we went back to Verona the next night for the real highlight of his prezzy which was to the Opera in the open-air Roman amphitheatre. That was amazing.

I have been to Italy twice....once to Florence with my mother when I was 17, and once to Rome when I was 29. I much preferred Florence - although I did enjoy looking around the Vatican.

yep.
i was born in italy actually, but not of italian origins.
beautiful country.
for me personally, the farther south you go, the more beautiful it gets. i fell in love it.
although i have to say, when you cross the adriatic sea via ship when you're 4, reaching alba feels like you just wrote your own "around the world in 80 days" version.
