If Iraq becomes a successful democracy and democracy spreads in the middle east, then someday Bush will be given credit for it. A few generations from now, historians will look back without bias, and wonder why the democrats tried so hard to lose this war.

I do not see how they would applaud the work of GW Bush. He has failed at almost every level of his presidency. I guess the only way some American citizens would applaud GW Bush would be if they were neo-cons and were watching the FOX News version of his presidency.

Yes, under him there have been no successful terrorist attacks in our country since 9/11, which was a plan that was able to fester under Bill Clinton.

If nothing else, he can stand up and be a MAN in the face of CNN opinion polls, in sharp contrast to almost every other modern politician. America needs more indpendent cowboy types.

I think it all depends on if there is another attack, and ho wlong it is until then.

I meanwhen Clinton was in Ofiice we were attack atthe Towers, and 8 years later we were attacked again, by the same organization..

so will GW have better success, if we make it to 2010 on ewould have to say his way was better, maybe notthe best but still better. and who will attack or attempt to next.

personally I am glad we are taking the offensive, instead of sitting back like a sitting duck. there have been some mistakes, maybe we should have finished in Afgan, but maybe going to Iraq will prove to be good, in that a lot of terrorists have indeed been caught or killed, some top guys, it has to hurt some

I will say that I am worried if Hillary wins, what will she do if we are attacked, maybe she will put her head in the sand like she did with her cheating husband.

how many different ways are you going to ask the same meaningless question?

W will go down, I am confident, as the worst President we have ever had, against some stiff competition (e.g., Harding). The damage he has done -- diplomatic, social, financial, military -- will take generations to correct. He richly deserves to be impeached, or even tried as a war criminal. But I don't think we are up to that, we are we too fat, dumb and happy to bother?

i doubt it.

bush has pretty much not made a single decision related to the war on terror that has worked out to be the right decision.

spending all of our time in iraq after the 9/11 attacks makes no sense now - i don't see how it will make more sense down the unforgiving hallway of time.

It all depends on how things end up turning in the future of the Middle East (not just Iraq, but Iran, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Syria, Lebanon, Israel/Palestine are all important).

I wish people would quit using the word terrorist. Replace the word with a more meaningful word like Islamic fundamentalist. Just like profanity, when you overuse unclear words like profanities our language becomes ambiguous and we have unintelligent conversation which leads to unclear and unmeasurable goals like "The war on terror".

Bush couldn't find Afghanistan on the map so he went to Iraq. He knew where that was because his daddy went there.

No Bin Laden in sight. Only Dems win wars.

Hell no.

George Bush has done everything else but combat terrorism. He's the most hated man in the world. In some places, Osama has a better approval rating than he does.

If they applaud him, then they're retards.
