i underatand it all started with energy, or some think a great ammount of mass, but how did THAT get here. and where does the universe end? if it doenst end, then i just dont get how, and if it does, then what happens when you pass the line?

also, there has to be a god, thats whats creepy, because who created god. the reason there has to be a god is because how did everything work out so perfect. big bang doesnt make our bodies work so perfect and experience the sensation of life, which is wierd enough in itself. you cant just set up a bunch of wood, pipes, tiles, windows, etc. and set a stick of dynamite and light it and expect the explosion to make a perfect house. can you?

There are plenty of good human minds capable of comprehending this. The idea that a God who transcends spacetime created our physical universe and the spacetime containing it is quite simple. Someone might not believe it or agree with it, but the idea is simple.

So far, science has no explanation for how it all came into existence. That doesn't automatically imply that "God did it." Neither does it rule it out.

The best way to become capable of understanding abstract concepts is to think about them, and read the writings of intelligent people.

It is hard to fathom an eternal being that is all powerful and all knowing like God...we humans have a beginning and an end, we learn, we are bound by the laws of nature, we are stuck in time and space and more. God has no beginning or end...He always has been, God knows all there is to know in the whole universe...He has omniscience or "all knowledge", God is not bound by the laws of nature...He created them as well as all matter and energy merely by speaking it into existence in the beginning, In the book of Hebrews 11:3 we read the following...
"Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear."
It's the explanation of the atomic level of matter from a book over 5000 years old---"things which are seen were NOT made of things which do appear" which is true. The very ground we walk on is composed of matter made up of atoms which are invisible and without the sub-atomic forces holding them together, we would have no structure or support---everything is made up of matter which has invisible atoms held together by four forces....pretty amazing. The laws of conservation of energy only apply to the natural world and universe for an orderly system of rules that we can understand and deal with---one would not expect the being that created them to be bound by them.

hehe, I can remember arguing this with someone recently who couldn't comprehend something without a start or an end. I suppose its because everything in our lives has a start and an end.
I think theories like the the big bang are just as 'unbelievable' as my beliefs that the universe is infinite... it has always existed, will always exist, has no limit... and that is that...

I can remember this guy telling me... "BAH ! thats insane ! to think something can go on forever"....

I think its just as, if not more insane to say all matter in the universe 'one day' just sparked into existence from 'nothing' and everything began... and one day it will crunch into nothing once more and time will end.. (i.e big crunch).. haha..

gotta luv it ;)

at the beginning, scientist suggest that there was a great ball of energy formed from who knows where,
according to Einstein's famous theory of relativity, E=MC^2, nothing is allowed to go past the speed of light, and any energy that does is converted to matter
so now you can put two and two together
the great ball of energy exploded, some energy (or a lot ) turned into matter since it went faster than the speed of light
