Any 1st degree blood relatives with a history of breast cancer / tested positive for BRCA mutations? If so, 10 years younger than their diagnosis or the following, whichever comes first.

Depending on your physician, some want a baseline at 35 and if all is well the next at 40. Some say the first should be at 40. I prefer the baseline at 35. I work in a breast health center and have seen multiple women in their early - mid 30's with very aggressive breast cancers. Just check with your insurance if under 40. Some are sticklers, but the majority will pay.

My doctor says at 40. That would depend though on family history.

I would say at 40 but if you have family history of breast cancer especially in your immediate family you might want to ask your doctor.
