Your best bet would be to go to the web sites of the various political parties and read what they have to say.

I cannot write your essay for you. But, I can get you started.
1. The original view of the Founding Fathers who designed our Constitution was that the only rights on Earth belong to each and every individual person. This is individual rights and includes property rights. Government was created by them to be only a servant whose job is to protect those rights against physical force coming from criminals or other governments, as in war.
2. Liberalism is opposed to this view by seeking to increase the size and roles of government. Setting aside property rights and the free market, liberalism tends toward socialism and sees government as guaranteeing material well-being to all.
3. Conservatism is also in favor of giving government a larger role, primarilly to regulate the moral behavior of citizens, forbidding them various forms of sexual activities, abortion, and defending the role of religion in public affairs.
4. Libertarianism is a revival of the original foundation of America on the principle of individual rights, advocating a total free market and total free choice in personal matters and beliefs for all citizens.
5. Greens or environmentalists regard all parts of nature as having rights to the exclusion of human beings and the productive use of nature that keeps humans alive. Hence, individual rights for people is not discussed, property rights are viewed as a selfish exploitation of nature, industry which produces goods and services for people is opposed in all its activities.
Use these terms to do a search on the Internet and on Amazon for books that will give you much more information. I especially recommend the writings of Ayn Rand, Ludwig von Mises, George Reisman, Andrew Bernstein, all advocates of the free market.
Good luck on a vast subject. I hope you don't have to write about all of it in one term paper.
