For my Government class, I need to make up a bill relating to national defense and I'm not sure where to start. Anyone have any ideas? Just like a title and a few provisions of the bill.

Expenses for national defense must only be increased if there is a need for it and not just the baseless invasions of countries only suspected of possessing weapons of mass destructions.

In the same sense as "separation of churches and states", there should be a separation of military/navy and economics. The government has a moral obligation to defend its people's liberty. The government however has no moral authority to wage war for economic gains.

Nowadays, the government steps over that boundary more and more. The Iraq, Iran, Kuwait conflicts were more for economic gains than freedom. If they were not for economic gains then why wouldn't the government do the same in South Africa? Maybe there is no oil over there?

Make sure the bill is for defending liberty, not for stuffing pork to gain oil.
