Yes. No matter what. Want to be a Boston fan? Fine. I will let them. As long as they are a TRUE fan of the team!

My fave team are the KC Royals, but I also follow the Braves and the Red Sox. My oldest likes the Braves, my middle fellow likes the Oakland A's, and the youngest likes the Red Sox. Yes, I have let them choose whatever team they want.
(Even if it had been the Yankees)

Both my sons love baseball. My older son in a major Yankee fan but also follows the Phillies. He has season tickets to both. It has to do with where they both grew up. (South Jersey)

My younger son loves baseball and is primarily a Phillies fan. He never really follows the Yankees but enjoys the Yankees/Red Sox rivalry. He lives in Florida like me and is really into autograph signings. He has an incredible collection of baseballs, jerseys, photos, you name it!

Huge Red Sox fan here.. And My daughter used to be one also, Then they traded her favorite player Bronson Arroyo to the Reds. She now is a huge Reds fan and although she can't watch games she follows Bronson, and the team on the Internet. And yes, for her Birthday last year I brought her to see him in concert. He is a very talented singer, And I enjoyed it as much as she did. So yeah, She can choose and support any team.... I'm just so thankful she was not a Johnny Damon fan!!

No way!
When my sister and I grew up, from a young age we were taught to be die hard Dodger fans. And I am very happy that we are. My family doesn't share much in common, but the Dodgers are one thing we can all enjoy together.
For sure my kids will be Dodger fans like me, I just wouldn't have it any other way

Don't know what I will do about my future husband though, gee hope I marry a Dodger fan, it will make things a lot easier :)

My kids are already pretty grown up and they love the Red Sox! When the Sox were winning game 4 of the 2004 World Series, my sons were very tired and I wouldn't let them go to bed! I told them that they may never see something like that again and they had to stay up! Child abuse you think?..lol...Of course they love the Sox because of me but thats ok!

Yes because it's just too much fun to razz your kid when your team beats the pants of their team. Now if their team beats my team then I pull the I'm the mother card and don't listen. It will be fun in our house cause the youngest is a Bo Sox fan and and the rest of us are for the Tribe.

We taught our son to say "Yankees suck." He can like the Red Sox and whoever is playing the Yankees.

For some reason baseball is the only interest the place I keep on with my father, in actuality it particularly is authentic for each individual i comprehend. possibly it particularly is using the fact baseball is a brilliant bond between father and son greater valuable than different activities. one among my desires is that the Mets win the international sequence sometime before my father passes away so we are in a position to have fun mutually. a number of my suited strategies with my dad are baseball moments. i'm unswerving to the Mets particularly because of the fact of my father and his staggering thoughts of the polo grounds and how he used to get unfastened tickets off the lower back of milk cartons. that's what baseball is all approximately. the wealthy history previous down from father to son.
