Theoretically, yes.

Realistically, it would be tough to carry out at this point due to the current state of America's gun culture.

Those who love their guns, please go back and reread the second amendment and ask yourself if you belong to a "well-organized militia".

First off let me say I don't own a gun, never have. I've known a lot of gun owners. I'm fine with most of them, maybe a little concerned about a couple.
Point is, it is a constitutional right. That simply won't change. I'd just like to see the current laws (we don't need any new ones) strictly enforced.

If making guns illegal would solve so many problems, then can you explain why four cities that have banned private ownership of firearms (Chicago, New York, San Francisco, and Washington D.C.) account for 25% of the gun-related violent crime annually in America?

I mean...since guns are illegal, no one should have them there...right?

Then you would have a government with complete and absolute power and as we all know absolute power corrupts.
An unarmed nation is usually a nation of slaves to it's leadership.
If you think removing guns from the hands of people that never have committed any crimes will solve our moral problems here you better do some real research on that topic.
I as many others will not under any circumstance give up my guns to anyone!!!!

By the way Hitler started his rain of terror that very same way unarm the people first and then heard them off to the gas chambers, is this what you Hilliary libs want to do with the people that don't see things your way?

Your query indicates that you're looking for a "yes- they should be answer". Sorry, not finding it here! The Second Amendment guarantees our right to own guns. What good would banning guns do? Do you think that those with intent of crime would hand over their guns? No, it would be the law abiding citizens who would be forced to submit them- so to what purpose would it be?
I love hunting, skeet shooing, target practice and my Second Amendment Rights... you should try any of those!

all guns? no. i would say flat out no, while i am not a hunter, if the kill is used for food, it is actually an important part of managing wildlife.

most people who own guns are law-abiding citizens, and certainly most of them never fire it at a person. you only hear about the times they DO, not the times they DON'T.

it would be nice, however, to use existing laws to keep them where they belong - and i would not object to somewhat stricter regulation of handguns (keeping in mind the 2nd Amendment)

then again, i sure am tired of hearing these people out here shooting all day & half the night. it sucks lying in your hammock at 11pm, and have a shotgun shatter the night while i fly out & hit the ground! lol

i do not imagine so, yet with the way we are headed, it may ultimately be very confusing to purchase a gun. it may likely be constrained to three form of awful gun though. they're going to say that we nevertheless technically have a top to undergo fingers... purely not attack rifles, handguns, or something it truly is not a pellet/bb/paintball gun.

No. I do think that guns should be registered and if a crime is committed with your gun you should go to prison with the person who committed the crime.

I hold a concealed weapons permit. I will put my gun where your mouth is after I put two in your chest if you try to take it from me.

no, guns shouldn't be illegal . I can own a gun to protect myself or go hunting. Are you in the bush administration, that wants to take more of our freedoms away.? Anyway, if you live alone, you need a gun to protect yourself. Enough said.

Then criminals (and the govt with even more power to oppress its people) will be the only one with guns. Not a good idea.

NO.

We have the Bill of Rights and gun ownership is a right protected by it. If you give up one right, what is to stop them from making you give up more rights?
